The Nissan LEAF was introduced for the 2011 model year and has sold over 400,000 units since it hit the market.
The little compact EV has proven to be a great car with the exception of one thing, one important thing, the battery. Nissan chose not to thermally manage the battery and this has led to premature failure or degradation.
Precision Auto Service is the only shop in the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver to specialize in the repair of these cars and has performed several battery replacements and we are also working with partners to provide upgrades and long term solutions to the lithium ion batteries. We are in discussion with Fenix Power, EV’s Enhanced and Simon André electric vehicles as well as investigating other option as they come along.
