Hybrid Vehicle Repair
Although much of the technology in Hybrids is relatively new, they are still an automobile with a gasoline engine inside them. They still need oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs and the regular scheduled maintenance services all other cars need.
At Precision Auto we do realize that there are some very specialized components in your Hybrid vehicle as well. For this reason we have invested more time in Hybrid training that any other independent repair shop in Langley. Our technicians and management have attended training from specialists from California and keep in close contact with Canada’s technical experts in the Hybrid field. The Nissan LEAF was introduced for the 2011 model year and has sold over 400,000 units since it hit the market.
The little compact EV has proven to be a great car with the exception of one thing, one important thing, the battery. Nissan chose not to thermally manage the battery and this has led to premature failure or degradation.
Precision Auto Service is the only shop in the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver to specialize in the repair of these cars and has performed several battery replacements and we are also working with partners to provide upgrades and long term solutions to the lithium ion batteries.
