Scott Waddle started Precision Auto Service in 1997 after working as a mechanic/technician at several independent repair shops in Metro Vancouver. Knowing the repair business was in need of a modern, customer service oriented option for Langley residents, Scott believed there was a better method and over 20 years later we are still growing every year.

Precision Auto Service has been Providing Safe, Reliable transportation to Langley and Aldergrove residents for close to 25 years. We are a locally owned independent automotive repair and service facility committed to the community we live in. All our staff live in Langley, Surrey or Abbotsford, just like our clients.

At Precision Auto Service, we are committed to providing the best and most cost effective service available. We do this by having the most technically advanced equipment, a computerized repair and service information system, and most importantly, a staff of technicians who are qualified to repair your car today, and continually upgrading for tomorrow. As someone who has typically taken vehicles back to the dealership, I decided to give Precision Auto a try, as Ford has been increasingly difficult to work with. Went in for an oil change, and was advised of a long standing issue that needed to be addressed. With how many times Ford had my vehicle in for service, not once had they pointed this out. For the work completed and the price paid, I think this shop has insane value. Their communication is also the best in the business. Very impressed as a first time customer, and I will be back! The service i received was top notch! The first repair was fast with constant updates from my service manager Bryan. Then Bryan got my extended warranty approved for a second urgent repair. I can't say enough about Bryan, he got my car in fast, worked with my schedule and got my repairs done within my schedule. I never felt pressured for doing more than was needed, and he was very thorough explaining everything to me. I am extremely happy with the personal service and quality or the repairs I received. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Great experience with Precision Auto Service. I had a major diesel fuel issue and was quoted a full system replacement by a dealer at a very high cost. Brian took the time to explain everything clearly and suggested a more practical repair. They replaced the high-pressure fuel pump, flushed the system, and changed the fuel filter. The truck is running well and they backed the work with a solid warranty. Honest, professional, and no pressure, I’d definitely recommend them.

Ive been to a few mechanics in the last id say 5 ish years and these guys have been the best to deal with through and through. Absolutely will return for all future needs for my vehicles. Staff was friendly and informative, there was no hidden fees, no upselling. Got what I needed done for a fraction of the price anywhere else and my vehicle is running much smoother now. Highly recommend!

Have a 2006 Sprinter van which hard to find parts at times. They were able to fix the emergency brakes a long outstanding issue. The fix many other outstanding issues. The service rates were reasonable. Thank you.

I didn't use their services but I called to inquire about my hybrid and they were super honest and No BS customer service. Said there was no real benefit for me to do the work here vs Toyota for a water pump replacement specifically and didn't try to sell services. Refreshing!

Excellent knowledge on EVs at Precision Auto! I drove all the way out from Vancouver and would do it again. If you're looking for quality EV care, this is definitely the place to go. Their commitment and curiosity to fix problems far (far far far) outweighed anything I ever saw at the dealer.

From the non-profit Org Hunters for BC, we purchased a 1976 Corvette to raffle off and raise funding for wildlife and habitat projects in BC, we chose Rick from past reviews and recommendations to do a full mechanical inspection and the subsequent repairs. Precision has taken care of my X5D the last 2 years and done a great job. This last service there was a one-off mistake made, we are all human, they inspected and assessed the vehicle and they immediately explained the error and were honest, took full accountability and fully repaired what needed to be done. In a world where this level of honesty and accountability is rare, I found this to be stand out.

Very good guys. Straight to the point. They analyzed my car's problems and situation and gave me a very detailed input of my options. Engine is basically done and they were honest with me. They did their best to make sure I don't waste money on unnecessary patch work. They gave me a good idea and a plan of what I can do rather than wasting money on unnecessary repairs. They are very knowledgeable and honest. These guys definitely care about your best ineterest.

We have recently had our truck if for a front end diagnosis after another shop installed some parts incorrectly. Their technician was able to find the mistakes and correct the stearing problem. Also just had new snow tires installed on our van the service was very prompt and professional. Highly recommend this shop!

For some time my sprinter van had been undependable. Most of the time it worked acceptably. The problem was both electronic and mechanical and intermittent, a mechanic’s nightmare to diagnose. My van is too old to link to Mercedes current diagnostic equipment. While I can bolt on parts as well as most home mechanics this problem was beyond me. It took three trips to Precision for them to figure it out but in the end they did fix it properly with a two year warranty to back their work. All work done was completely professional, I am very happy with the quality of the repairs. My van’s engine compartment came back with all the correct fasteners and aesthetically pleasing which is not always the case after major work at other shops. My contact person kept me advised every step of the way. The repair was not cheap but it was worth it! I will return to Precision when necessary. Bob Smith

Amazing service!!! I was so nervous to bring my truck here because I have had nothing but problems in the past after taking it to Fords. These guys well exceeded my expectations and were very thorough! They explained everything in detail and even took me out to the shop to show me. Also caught something that could have been dangerous I wasn’t aware of. The staff were also upbeat and very friendly :) Great experience

Not to sound corny. But these guys are great! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Mechanic prices are their prices. But with these guys you get what you pay for quality and the comfort that the job had been done right.

Great service, accommodating, professional. I really appreciate how they don't talk down to you, when a problem was diagnosed they took the time to show me the parts diagram and explained everything. The shop is clean, comfortable, and loaner cars are available. This is my first EV so I was nervous about finding a good shop with EV knowledge and I feel more confident driving an EV knowing that if I have a problem I'll be in good hands. I like all the EV information that is available on their website and it seems like they all care about what they do. My service tech was Brayden. Thanks!

I brought my 2015 Winnebago on a Mercedes 3500 chassis in for 3 different alerts about brakes and safety. I got an appointment quickly and the problem was diagnosed and resolved just as quickly. I would like to thank the front end staff and Breadan and Luke for getting the work done.

Environmental Commitment

Practices:

We actively work as a professional automotive repair business to reduce our impact on the environment. This has been accomplished by using the recycling methods available and continuing to educate ourselves as well as our customers in this matter. This responsibility falls on all of us and should not be taken lightly.

We recycle: Antifreeze, oils, lubricants, air conditioning refrigerant, cardboard, paper, plastics, metal, glass, tires, oil filters and any other items allowed by local facilities.

We are a return centre for used automotive lubricating oils, filters, antifreeze, used plastic oil and antifreeze containers and all types of batteries. We gladly accept liquids up to 20 Litres maximum, in sealed containers during business hours.

You may have heard some repair shops today use “recycled” oil. While we don’t dispute the method or intention, we are not convinced it is a viable option for sophisticated modern engines like most cars have today. Rather, our waste oil is removed by a government certified hauler to be consumed as fuel in large industrial plants and therefore giving it new life and re-using it in a responsible way.

We use only new lubricating oils in all our engines, transmissions, drive axles, braking and power steering systems. The use of new oils extends the components lifespan and therefore is the responsible thing to do.

We do use recycled engine antifreeze and coolants where the process is up to standards of the original equipment manufacturer of the vehicle it is going to be used in. This is about two thirds of the coolant we use.

Automobiles are ‘mobile hazardous waste generators.’ They have in total a huge negative impact on the environment even when they’re sitting still, but certainly when they’re running and especially when they’re broken or neglected. So to the degree that we can change that, minimize that, and do it in a responsible way is one of our primary concerns on how we conduct business.

Facility:

We have Langley’s most modern and environmentally friendly independent repair shop. We have lots of natural light, low E energy saving glass, we employ window tint to keep cooling costs down, and even though our building is less than 10 years old we have retrofitted our shop and office with LED and high efficiency fluorescent lighting. We have a built in water filtration system so no bottled drinking water is needed. We have no floor drains so no oils can escape to the groundwater and we perform an environmental self audit yearly.

Vehicles:

We just purchased our first full electric vehicle as our shuttle and shop errand car and we also have a fleet of hybrid courtesy cars to run errands and shuttle customers to home and office.
